Beta chapter has launched a renovation effort for 528 Beacon Street. The House very much needs this deferred maintenance in order to become an inviting place for future generations of MIT students. We hope each and every brother will find a way to help.
This brochure explains the project and initial estimates to accomplish the renovation. Many brothers have already stepped up to the challenge; additional gifts and pledges can be made using this pledge form.

Volunteer Class Captains have already been recruited for most of our graduation years. Their role is to personally follow up with their brothers to make sure everybody knows about the current need. If you would like to do this for your graduation year, please send an e-mail to the Campaign Treasurer, John Helferich '79 at helfejoh@mit.edu
For the fiscal year which closed on June 30, 2009, the MIT Alumni Association began recognizing alumni/alumnae who gave directly to their living group, as we are doing in this campaign. For Theta Chi, over 125 of our brothers responded to the call so far; here is the list of contributors to the renovation campaign as of June 30, 2009.
An enormous amount of homework has been done before choosing the current renovation option. There is an archive of much of the relevant material. If you have a question or suggestion, however, please feel free to e-mail tc-fundraise@mit.edu.
